After Effects

This is an old project I did a visual effects for. Rotoscoping mostly. It was frame by frame animation and really nice short story for Kingdom of Moths who are stealing from the king the present for ruins birth day. It was an amazing portrait of Queen made by fleece of golden ram. And the months steal it to eat it....and so on.... I have to clean plate literally every shot....

MAYA

X WING STARFIGHTER

The X-wing starfighter is a fictional spacecraft from the original and sequel Star Wars trilogies and the Star Wars expanded universe. Designed and manufactured by the Incom Corporation, they are depicted as the primary space superiority interceptorclose air support and dogfighter of the Rebel Alliance, the New Republic and the Resistance. They are armed with four laser cannons and two proton torpedo launchers, which allowed for extended multi-role missions that required versatile balance of speed with firepower.

It is just a hard surface modelling practice - I found this tutorial in internet so I decide to do the model of x -wing practising my Maya modelling skills

MODELING A SPITFIRE - work in progress

I ve god the idea to do a "Battle for Britain" fight between airplanes like in the Pearl Harbour movie, so thats why I ve start with the model of spitfire, using a reference images attached to Image plane /front, side and top view/ I ll do model of NAZY`s planes aswell and a battleships. Then I ll do a scene of a battle.

The Supermarine Spitfire is a British single-seat fighter aircraft used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied countries before, during, and after World War II. Many variants of the Spitfire were built, using several wing configurations, and it was produced in greater numbers than any other British aircraft. It was also the only British fighter produced continuously throughout the war. The Spitfire continues to be popular among enthusiasts; nearly 60 remain airworthy, and many more are static exhibits in aviation museums throughout the world.

The Spitfire was designed as a short-range, high-performance interceptor aircraft by R. J. Mitchell, chief designer at Supermarine Aviation Works, which operated as a subsidiary of Vickers-Armstrong from 1928. Mitchell pushed the Spitfire's distinctive elliptical wing designed by Beverley Shenstone[citation needed] to have the thinnest possible cross-section, helping give the aircraft a higher top speed than several contemporary fighters, including the Hawker Hurricane. Mitchell continued to refine the design until his death in 1937, whereupon his colleague Joseph Smith took over as chief designer, overseeing the Spitfire's development through its multitude of variants.

During the Battle of Britain, from July to October 1940, the public perceived the Spitfire to be the main RAF fighter, though the more numerous Hurricane shouldered a greater proportion of the burden against Nazi Germany's air force, the Luftwaffe.

MATTE PAINTING

Another internet tutorial I did - its matte painting winter mountain shot, creates by still images prepared in layers in Photoshop and simple geo in Maya - imported in NUKE for compositing. My first attempt to do something like that - the final result is not good enough - I didn't make the fog good and realistic....however - I ll come back to this exercise to recap and try to do all the process from the beginning with better quality. Work in progress...
