I decided to do online short tutorials in help of young composers. This series will be based on NUKE compositing technics. There are a tones of NUKE tutorials out there – and you can find almost everything for nuke nodes, Python, projects management, etc. I think there are not enough tutorials about the way of thinking as a composer, which I think is most important. Through the different projects in this series I am going to talk about theory of light, some lens effects, meaning of lens distortion, what is perspective, why proportions are so important, stuff like reflections, shadows density, etc. Of course I will explain /as simple as I can/ how the nodes in NUKE works, math behind the UI, and all basic aspects of the software. Hope you will find this series useful!!
